Hey guys,

I'm looking for a decent bike to start racing for 2012.

I was originally looking at the 2012 Cervelo S2 and RS ($2600-2800 marked down to $1600-1800 for January 2012) with SRAM Force.  Totally missed out on the deal but am looking for something in that price range.

I was hoping to find 2011 CAAD 10's (with 105) for great markdowns but only found 1-2 2011 105 CAAD10s for $1499 here in NYC/LI/NJ.  2012 105 CAAD 10s can be had for $1560-1600.  In 2011 in Northern CA, multiple LBS's were selling the 105 CAAD 10 for ~$1200.

I was expecting to find 2011 105 CAAD10s now for under $1200....Is this a pipedream?  Anyone know of any "good" deals for $1400-1800?

LMK,
Thanks,
Dino

Get a 2012 CAAD10 with 105's. Just copped me one for $1700 and it's so worth it, of course i upgraded the wheels though to make it a 16lb bike. It's stiff and crazy light.

Yeah, the CAAD10 definitely has great value, but I was expecting 105 2011 models to be had for $1000-1300 now...

2012 105 CAAD10's can be had for $1500...highest price quoted to me by an LBS has been $1600...where did you get yours?

Bikes don't drop in price man, the bike is still new, frame is still $900 bucks. From 15 to 1200 is 20% off, nobody will do less than that unless they're desperate. I HIGHLY recommend getting the bike, I ride it and it's smoooooth. Both frames are the same, they didn't change anything except for the colors and I don't remember if they put 105 brakes on it bc the tektro brakes suck. If you want the 2012 I can see if I can sell it to you for 1670 flat which is te retail price. Let me know.

The best of the bikes though is definitely the 4 bc it has SRAM rival and that crank is LIGHT

crack is wack

CAAD 10-105 currently in stock at Paragon. no left over, but 2012 are 1499 all the time always. That includes a free pro bike fit and tune ups and maintenance FO LYFE

Come in and see me..

we have 2011 Focus Variado's in stock in a few sizes and they are discounted, now less $$ than CAAD 10 Same idea as a CAAD10, but from Germany. All 105 builds, BB30, Aluminum frame, carbon fork, etc...

2011 CAAD10's will be near impossible to find now.  I bought my CAAD10-4 in September, and even then it was difficult for me to find a 54cm, and only a few 52's at Toga Bikes.  I doubt, after post-Christmas sales, that there's any stock left...

Sorry man.

cool cool. cool cool cool.

Gonna pass on the player price of $1670.

I found my size, 52cm (~53.5cm top tube), 2011 BUT in red (I wanted anything but red).

Got it for $1160 new, sizing (i don't really trust the bros sizing), and free servicing for two years.

I've found that most of the time, LBS's discount past stock to get it off the floor and make room for new stock.  It could just be my experience and luck with it though.

Also, if any of you guys are looking, I was able to source a few CAAD 10 5's in 50, 52, and 54cm throughout the NYC area for $1200-1400 (obviously very limited in # and in color).

I was also able to find a few 2012 CAAD 10 5 deals for $1450-1470 (not advertised online though) within the NYC area.

I'll be racing crits this year for my college team... I heard there's a lot of crashing involved.

No way I want to wreck my Parlee, so I figured I should grab a cheap/decent road bike.

A used CAAD10 or CAAD8 would be perfect (don't really care about the condition or the gruppo). Definitely looking to spend under $1000.  54cm.  Thanks for any leads!

...I'm not sure that Litespeed tricycle has enough torsional stiffness for my needs.

ERICNET, Bicycle Renaissance has a 2011 CAAD10 in 48cm for $1150-1160. I forget the color, but the "48cm" has a 51.5cm top tube.

Gotta love LBS's getting rid of old stock for awesome prices!

Hey thanks Dinnucci, they had a woman's 51cm 2011 in black for $1150 and we were able to snatch it up. They also have a raw colored sram rival (caad10 4) there for $1,400, also a steal because there's one on eBay now that's all beaten up going for the same price and this one has never been used.

The sram is defiantly nice, never used one before, but i felt like once they oiled and tweaked the 105 it was smoother and shifted just as fast as the sram. She's not a real racer but the sram was also 1.4 pounds lighter. She just didnt want to spend the extra $300.

Of course, man.  There's deals to be had everywhere especially with the powers of the Internet Dot Com.
It should come with a proper fitment and 2-years or more of service.
